Who Am I?
Teacher by day, creative tinkerer by night, mom and wife always.
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember; it’s my release, my catharsis. As I’ve become older…and not so much wiser…my focus has shifted from lamenting about lost loves to striving to be healthy in all aspects of life – physical, emotional, spiritual.
As a woman, putting 100% focus on the self is difficult. We try so hard to keep up with the hustle and bustle of life, to ensure our family’s needs are met, while losing sight of our own. It’s not intentional – it just…happens….
I found and fell in love with a little company: Trades of Hope. A partnership that assists women (AND men), worldwide, to break the cycle of poverty and the chains of oppression through the creation of sustainable business. While we are blessed beyond measure – regardless of the current social and political climate (thanks, 2018!) – there are others who continue to fight for their basic human rights. And to me, that’s just not okay.
My Hope for You
It’s time to turn that focus inward, to recognize and rejoice that focusing on us is not a selfish maneuver. In fact, it’s quite the opposite; healing, inside and out, allows us to be the best versions of our selves. And who benefits from this? Our family, our friends, our community – us.
Grab a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, cuddle in deep, and come be free with me. I hope you enjoy the journey.
